- Carrying out studies for organisational restructuring and tariff rationalisation with the obligation of achieving sustainability of the improved services.
- Development of PPP contracts in water supply pumping systems / operations.
- Development & implementation of Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) to bring Asset data, operational data and commercial data on same platform to monitor & manage and improve the customer services, reduce O&M expenses and bring accountability.
- Taking up Non Revenue Water (NRW) Projects which includes study of existing infrastructure, conditional assessment of assets, leak detection works, creation of DMAs, developing strategies for reduction in losses in networks.
- Carrying out Industry Grade Energy Audit of pumping systems which includes analysing existing hydraulic, electric & pumping system, development of system & pumping curves, field determination of pump & motor efficiencies, development of investment plans, drafting of ESCO contract documents and monitoring of ESCO projects.
- Design & implement IEC activities.
Wastewater
- Study of existing wastewater collection and disposal system.
- Conceptualise, plan & prepare detailed project reports for creating new system or augmenting the existing system for collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater for urban areas. This could be mix of sewer collection system for the core areas having high density of population & septage disposal for fringe areas having on-site excreta disposal system.
- Analysis & Design of wastewater treatment system including comparative studies of various wastewater treatment technologies in terms of capital investment, recurring O&M Cost, Life-Cycle cost (LCC), land requirement, energy requirement, recovery potential etc
- Development & implementation of Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) to bring Asset data, operational data and commercial data on same platform to monitor & manage and improve the customer services, reduce O&M expenses and bring accountability.
- Preparation of Recycle & Reuse (R&R) projects including tertiary treatment, study of potential end-users, evaluating their treated water demand and potential ways to deliver such demand to end users economically.
- Development of retrofitting projects for existing treatment systems with an objective of improving effluent quality, increased flow capacities and to enhance the longevity of project.
Solid Waste Management
- It require proper study of the existing infrastructure, cultural system of most the population to be served, design for the door-to-door collection system, design for transfer stations and final disposal including development of landfill sites.
- Design & conducting comprehensive field surveys for determination of per capita solid waste generation, composition of solid waste, variation in quantity & composition of solid waste among different users, communities & localities
- Developing strategies for reduction and recycle of solid waste at house and building level.
- Route optimisation techniques for household solid waste collection and its transport to disposal/segregation site.
- Recovery & reuse of recyclable material
City Development Plans
- Development of City Investment Plan (CIP) for assessing the investments required to implement the reform agenda envisioned in CDP. It includes examination of the options & strategies to garner required financial resources from State/National Government, Financial Institutions, Capital Market, Public Participation etc.
- Analysis of demographic characteristic of city in terms of pattern of population growth and its spatial spread.
- To identify strengths & weaknesses of city, in-depth analysis & review of existing situation including economic, financial, infrastructure, physical, environment and institutional aspects.
- Developing a financial profile of city including financial status of city government, status of current assets & liabilities and analysing the role of inter-government transfers in the finances of municipal governments.
- Development of infrastructure profile of city in terms of its adequacy in terms of quantity & quality, identifying the factors responsible for inadequate development, measuring demand-supply gap and examining the factors that explains the gap.
- Analysing the physical component that includes availability of land & land use organisation, survey & delineation of areas & infrastructure in need of renewal.
- Developing strategies for strengthening municipal governance, rationalising financial accounting & budgeting system and elimination of legal & other bottlenecks.
- Prioritising the sectors and projects based on their relevance and its long term financial sustainability harmonious to overall CDP vision.
Heritage Development
- Develop and document a heritage asset inventory of cities – natural, cultural, living and built heritage as a basis for urban planning, growth and service provision & delivery.
- Planning & Design for improvement of basic services delivery with focus on sanitation services like public conveniences, toilets, water taps, street lights with use of latest technologies in improving tourist facilities/amenities.
- Designing heritage adaptive rehabilitation and maintenance, including appropriate technologies for historic buildings retrofitting.
