Kaman Pahari Water Supply Project
Project Brief
Kaman-Pahari Project was conceived to benefit 246 villages of Kaman (114) and Pahari (132) Tehsils of Bharatpur District along with Kaman town. The source of water for this project has been taken as Chambal River, the only perennial river of Rajasthan.
The works of transmission system, Intake structure at Chambal River, laying of 85 Km raw water main of 1200/1300mm dia up to Mallah (Bharatpur), & construction of raw water storage, filter plant & clear water storage at Bharatpur have been completed under another project.
In the project, it is proposed to supply bulk water to the villages through metered connections upto PSP/CWT/GLR and the O&M of the intra village distribution of water would be managed by the Village Water & Sanitation Committee.
Project Components
- 3 Clear Water Reservoirs of total capacity 1850 KL at Dheemri (800 KL), Gopalgarh (550 KL), Ladlka (500 KL) and one for Kaman City of 600 KL capacity
- 5 no. pumping stations for rural clusters and one for Kaman City.
- DI pipe lines of sizes from 350 mm to 100 mm.
- uPVC pipe lines of sizes from 90 mm to 315 mm.
- 11KV/ 433V switchyards and transformers for all pumping stations.
- Construction of 44 ESRs (23 in Pahari Tehsil and 21 in Kaman Tehsil) for rural cluster & 3 ESRs for Kaman City
- Feeding these ESRs from the various PH.
- Providing water from these ESR to VTC of 246 villages with all metering provisions explained in subsequent chapters.
- Laying pipe lines for main village and other habitations (OH)
- Laying pipelines in Kaman urban town.
- Integrating existing ESR with cluster distribution system with required upgradation.
- Provision for SCADA in pumping stations and ESRs
Services Provided
- Topographical Survey of pipeline routes and lot survey for all pumping headworks and OHSR locations
- Hydraulics of Pumping main from Pumping Stations to OHSR, gravity mains from OHSRs to Villages and intra-village distribution system using proprietary Excel Sheets and EPANET software
- Preparation of Plans & L-Sections of pipelines
- Surge analysis of pumping mains and design of surge control systems
- Architectural, Civil, Structural designs of Pumping Stations
- Design of Electric system for pumping stations including load calculations, Cable sizing, ventilation, Lighting and Earthing designs
- Mechanical Design of pumping stations including suction, delivery pipe sizing
- Planning & Structural Design of Clear Water Reservoirs & Overhead Service Reservoirs
- Planning & Design of Electric Switchyards and transformers for all pumping stations.
- Hydraulic Design of Distribution System of Kaman urban town
- Architecture design of SCADA system for pumping stations and ESRs
